My mom gave me this little gardening tip, and it’s so great I can’t keep it to myself.
Yes, this is my little spot of wildflowers.
Yes, these are flowers that attract pollinators, bursting with color and cheerful mess.
And yes, those are bees, butterflies and slightly weird winged insects living their best lives out there.
It’s like throwing a rave… but for critters in fur coats drinking nectar.
Ever since I planted these wildflowers, my veggies are blooming, my fruits are more sleepy, and I swear even my tomatoes are standing straighter.
Pollinators do all the work, jumping from flower to flower like tiny garden bartenders, preparing the pollen cocktail that grows it all.
Fewer pests too, thanks to enhanced biodiversity.
Who knew a few handfuls of seeds could transform my garden into a complete ecosystem?
I planted these thinking they would be cuteโdidnโt think Iโd become a VIP in the pollinator club.
They are coming. They are dancing. They are humming a little thank you.
What about me?
Drinking my coffee, feeling like a witch of nature.
Who’s the garden heroine now, tired little bee? It’s meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. The proud and satisfied floral caller.
