Simple Apple Cake

The easiest apple pie that melts in your mouth!

✅ Ingredients:

  • 4 apples, sliced
  • Butter (for greasing the baking dish)
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 ml milk (room temperature)
  • 200 g wheat flour
  • 10 g baking powder (about 2 teaspoons)
  • A splash of vanilla extract (or a small packet of vanillin for aroma)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Prepare the baking dish:
    Grease a round or rectangular baking dish with butter. Set it aside.
  3. Prepare the apples:
    Wash, peel (optional), and slice the apples into thin wedges or slices. You can sprinkle them lightly with lemon juice to prevent browning if you like.
  4. Make the batter:
    • In a mixing bowl, beat the eggsand sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
    • Add the milk and vanilla extract, and mix well.
    • In another bowl, mix the flourand baking powder, then gradually add them to the wet mixture.
    • Stir until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
  5. Assemble the cake:
    • Pour half of the batter into the greased baking dish.
    • Place a layer of sliced apples on top.
    • Pour the remaining batter over the apples.
    • Arrange the remaining apple slices on top in a decorative pattern if you wish.
  6. Bake:
    • Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for 35–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and serve:
    • Let the cake cool slightly before serving.
    • You can sprinkle powdered sugar on top, or serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra deliciousness.
