Cheesy Ground Beef Tortilla Wraps
š Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g)Ā ground beef
- 1 tbspĀ olive oil
- 1 mediumĀ onion, finely chopped
- 2 clovesĀ garlic, minced
- 1/2 tspĀ paprika
- 1/2 tspĀ ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cupĀ tomato sauceĀ (or crushed tomatoes)
- 1 cupĀ shredded cheeseĀ (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- 4ā6Ā large flour tortillas
- Optional:Ā fresh parsleyĀ orĀ cilantrofor garnish
š©āš³ Instructions:
- Heat the olive oilĀ in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add theĀ chopped onionĀ and cook for aboutĀ 3ā4 minutesĀ until soft.
- Add theĀ minced garlicĀ and cook for anotherĀ 30 seconds.
- Add theĀ ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked through (about 6ā8 minutes).
- Season withĀ paprika,Ā cumin,Ā salt, andĀ pepper.
- Stir in theĀ tomato sauceĀ and let it simmer forĀ 5 minutesĀ to blend the flavors.
- Remove from heat and mix inĀ half of the shredded cheeseĀ (save the rest for topping or inside the wrap).
- Warm theĀ tortillasĀ slightly (in a pan or microwave) to make them easier to fold.
- Spoon the beef mixture into the center of each tortilla. Sprinkle with moreĀ cheeseĀ if you like.
- Fold the sidesĀ of the tortilla andĀ roll it up tightlyĀ like a burrito.
- (Optional) Lightly grill or toast the wraps in a pan on both sides until golden and the cheese melts.
- Serve warm. Garnish withĀ chopped parsley or cilantroĀ if desired.
