🥑 Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 100g smoked salmon, diced
🧑🍳 Instructions:
- Prepare the Avocados:
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Add the lemon juice immediately to prevent browning.
- Blend the Mousse:
- Add the cream cheese and Dijon mustard to the avocado.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Use a hand blender or food processor to blend everything until smooth and creamy.
- Add the Smoked Salmon:
- Gently fold in the diced smoked salmon with a spoon or spatula.
- For a stronger salmon flavor, you can blend half of it into the mousse and fold the rest in.
- Chill:
- Spoon the mousse into small glasses, ramekins, or serving dishes.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving, so the flavors can develop.
- Serve:
- Garnish with a small piece of smoked salmon, a sprinkle of fresh herbs (like dill or chives), or a twist of lemon zest.
- Serve with toasted bread, crackers, or blinis.
🍽️ Tips:
- You can prepare this dish up to a day in advance.
- For a festive touch, serve in clear glasses so the green mousse and pink salmon are visible.
