Condensed Milk Cake
⏱️ Total Time: 50–60 minutes
🍽️ Serves: 8–10 slices
Ingredients
- 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted (or ½ cup oil for lighter texture)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: 2 tbsp milk (if batter feels too thick)
Instructions
🔹 Step 1: Preheat
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line a 9-inch round or 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
🔹 Step 2: Mix Wet Ingredients
- In a large bowl, whisk together condensed milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
🔹 Step 3: Add Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully combined — the batter will be thick and smooth.
- If it feels too thick, stir in a couple of tablespoons of milk.
🔹 Step 4: Bake
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
🔹 Step 5: Cool & Serve
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Serve warm or at room temperature — plain, dusted with powdered sugar, or with fresh fruit and whipped cream.
💡 Tips & Variations

- Citrus version: Stir in 1 tbsp lemon or orange zest for brightness.
- Frosting idea: Top with cream cheese frosting or drizzle with sweetened condensed milk glaze.
- Storage: Keeps well for up to 4 days in an airtight container or freeze up to 2 months.
