THE CUTEST CHUBBY GINGERBREAD MEN

🍪❤️ THE CUTEST CHUBBY GINGERBREAD MEN – NO COOKIE CUTTERS NEEDED! ❤️🍪

Yesterday, I sent a dozen chubby gingerbread men to school with my 12th grader, just for fun… and guess what? The big kids absolutely LOVED them! 😍

There’s something so special about homemade cookies showing up at a lunch table — suddenly everyone turns into a kid again. Soft, spicy, sweet, a little silly… and completely irresistible!

These gingerbread men are extra adorable because you shape them by hand. No cutters, no fuss. Just old-fashioned, cozy baking that fills your kitchen with warm holiday smells — ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and a touch of molasses. Pure Christmas magic. ✨

🍪

INGREDIENTS

  • ¾ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup molasses
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp hot water
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • Red hot candies for decorating

🎄

HOW TO MAKE CHUBBY GINGERBREAD MEN (NO CUTTERS!)

  1. Cream together the softened butter, sugar, and molasses until smooth and silky.
  2. Mix in the egg and hot water, stirring until everything is well combined.
  3. Add the baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. Your kitchen will smell amazing already!
  4. Slowly add the flour until you have a soft but workable dough. If it’s sticky, chill it for 15–20 minutes.
  5. Now comes the fun part — shape little chubby gingerbread men by hand!
    • Roll a ball for the tummy
    • Smaller balls for the head, arms, and legs
    • Press gently together to form a plump, cute little gingerbread body
  6. Add red hot candies for buttons or eyes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 8–10 minutes. The edges should be set and the centers soft.
