This Is How I Make My Orange Cake with Walnuts
Ingredients

3 eggs

150 g sugar

1 pinch of salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

130 ml vegetable oil

150 ml freshly squeezed orange juice

Zest of 1 orange

300 g all-purpose wheat flour

15 g baking powder

100 g chopped walnuts

Equipment

One 24 cm cake pan, greased and floured

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and salt until light and frothy.
  3. Add the vanilla, oil, orange juice, and orange zest. Mix well.
  4. Gradually fold in the sifted flour and baking powder, mixing gently.
  5. Add 70 g of the chopped walnuts and mix until evenly incorporated.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and decorate the top with the remaining 30 g of walnuts.

Baking

Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Note

This recipe makes one 24 cm pan or two 16 cm pans.
