Ingredients:
1 box of white cake mix (or yellow cake mix) π
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese (softened) π§
1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling π
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted) π§
1/2 cup sugar π¬
1 tsp vanilla extract π¦
1/4 tsp salt π§
Optional: Fresh strawberries for garnish π
Instructions:
Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter π§βπ³.
Prepare the cheesecake layer: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy. This will be your cheesecake filling π§.
Layer the ingredients:
Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish π.
Spoon dollops of the cheesecake mixture over the pie filling, spreading it out as best as you can. It doesnβt have to be perfect, as it will spread out while baking π°.
Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the cheesecake layer. Do not stir! Just spread it out as evenly as possible π.
Add butter: Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix, covering the entire surface π§.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly π½οΈ. The center should be set, but it will still be soft and gooey.
Cool and serve: Let the dump cake cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving. It can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature π₯. Optionally, garnish with fresh strawberries for a pop of color and freshness π.
