Ingredients
4 slices crusty white or sourdough bread
6–8 slices bacon
1 large ripe tomato, sliced
3–4 tablespoons mayonnaise or cream cheese
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
Optional: a pinch of dried herbs or paprika
Instructions
Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then drain on paper towels. Lightly toast the bread until golden but still soft inside. Spread mayonnaise or cream cheese evenly on each slice of toast. Place tomato slices on the bread and season lightly with salt and black pepper. Add the crispy bacon on top of the tomatoes. Close the sandwiches, press gently, and serve immediately while warm and crunchy.
