🔥🥩 Perfect Ribeye Steak at Home – Trust Me, This Recipe Is a KEEPER! 🥩🔥
If you’ve ever wanted to make a restaurant-quality steak at home without needing a fancy grill or chef-level skills, THIS is it. The kind of ribeye that makes people close their eyes after the first bite and goes straight on your “Must Make Again” list. 😍
👉 Whether you like yours medium-rare, well-done, or somewhere in between, this method gives you a perfectly seared, juicy, buttery steak every time. And trust me… once you’ve tried it like this, you’ll never want to cook it any other way!
🧂 WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
2 ribeye steaks, about 1 to 1½ inches thick
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt & freshly cracked black pepper
2 tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, smashed (optional but recommended)
Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional but AMAZING flavor)
🔥 HOW TO COOK THE PERFECT RIBEYE:
- Let your steaks come to room temperature – don’t cook them straight from the fridge, or they won’t cook evenly.
- Season generously – Coat with olive oil and season both sides with lots of salt & pepper.
- Heat your skillet – Use a cast iron skillet if possible. Heat over medium-high until HOT.
- Sear the steak – Add steak to the pan and do NOT move it for 3–4 minutes. Flip and sear the other side for the same time.
- Add butter, garlic, and herbs – As the butter melts, spoon it over the steak repeatedly (this is called basting – key to that juicy richness).
- Check the internal temp – 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium.
- Let it rest! – Rest the steak for 5–10 minutes before slicing. This locks in all those juices. 🔒💦
🔥 TIPS TO LEVEL UP YOUR STEAK:
Always use a thermometer to get the perfect doneness every time.
Don’t overcrowd the pan – cook one steak at a time if needed.
Use high-quality ribeye with good marbling – that’s where the flavor lives!
