Crispy Fried Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup mushrooms (button or cremini), cleaned and sliced
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
1 cup buttermilk
Vegetable oil for frying
Fresh parsley or chives for garnish
For the Dipping Sauce:
1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or parsley
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Pour buttermilk into a separate bowl.
Dip mushroom slices into buttermilk, then coat in flour mixture.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry coated mushrooms until golden brown and crispy.
Drain on paper towels.
Mix sour cream, chives, lemon juice, salt, and pepper for the dipping sauce.
Serve fried mushrooms with the dipping sauce.
