Glazed CHICKEN Recipe “my own version”

Ingredients:

  • 1 kilogram chicken leg quarters
  • 1 β…“ cups fruit cocktail juice or pineapple juice
  • β…“ cup soy sauce
  • ΒΌ cup vinegar
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 bay leaves
  • whole peppercorns
  • ground black pepper
  • chili powder
  • cooking oil

Methods:

Marinate the chicken in fruit cocktail juice, soy sauce and pepper for 30 minutes. Separate the marinade sauce and set aside. Put oil in a heated pan. Fry the marinated chicken until toasted brown or depending on your preference. Remove from pan.

In another pan put a little oil. Saute the garlic until brown. Also saute the onion until soft. Then add the bay leaves, saute until aromatic. Pour the marinade sauce and bring to a boil over medium heat.

Then return the fried chicken to the pan, stir. Sprinkle with peppercorns. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes until the meat is tender [medium to low heat]. Add chili powder and vinegar, do not stir for 3 minutes. Continue cooking until the sauce has completely thickened.
