📋 Ingredients:
12 ounces twisted pasta (fusilli)
1 tablespoon salt, for pasta water
1 pound sirloin steak, sliced into strips
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1½ teaspoons Cajun seasoning
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup whole milk
4 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup shredded provolone cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon Cajun seasoning
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
Chopped parsley, for garnish
👩🍳 Directions:
1️⃣ Cook the pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fusilli until tender with a slight bite. Drain well and set aside.
2️⃣ Sear the steak:
Heat the butter and olive oil in a wide skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
3️⃣ Season and cook:
Add the steak strips to the skillet. Season with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Sear until deeply golden on the outside while staying juicy inside. Transfer to a plate.
4️⃣ Start the sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter over medium heat. Pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring gently as it warms.
5️⃣ Melt the cheeses:
Add the Velveeta and stir until smooth. Gradually stir in the mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan until the sauce becomes thick and creamy.
6️⃣ Season the sauce:
Add Cajun seasoning, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir well to combine.
7️⃣ Combine with pasta:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until every twist is coated in the cheese sauce.
