Garlic Butter Chili Shrimp Pasta


Ingredients
• 250 g spaghetti
• 300 g shrimp, peeled & deveined
• 4 tbsp butter
• 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
• 1–2 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
• 1 tsp paprika
• Salt & black pepper, to taste
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• ½ cup pasta cooking water
• 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
• Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta
    Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Season the shrimp
    Toss shrimp with salt, black pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.
  3. Cook the shrimp
    Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make the sauce
    In the same pan, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  5. Combine
    Add cooked pasta and pasta water. Toss until glossy and well coated.
  6. Finish
    Return shrimp to the pan, sprinkle Parmesan, toss gently, and cook for another 1 minute.
  7. Serve
    Garnish with parsley and extra chili flakes if you like it spicy 🌶️

Tips
• Add a squeeze of lemon for freshness 🍋
• Want creamier? Add 2–3 tbsp cream or milk
• Extra spicy? Add fresh chopped chili
